A List of Sandy’s HPG Actually Likes

Boo on you, Sandy for putting a damper on the Halloween weekend fun, but the gang at HPG won’t let you tarnish a good name as well!

So, in honor of amazing Sandy’s out there, “Blow it out your old wazzoo!”, as a quote from a famous Sandy movie below so eloquently states.

At the top of Hollywood Pop’s list of favorite Sandy’s we have:

1. SANDY OLSEN

She’s the one that we want!

Beautiful, pure, kind, sincere, and unlike Sandy Frankenstorm, this Sandy wouldn’t hurt a fly!

A great way to spend the time shut in from the weather is to break out the ol’ GREASE dvd (or VHS!) and sing along to the iconic Sandy songs.

And when you just can’t get enough of the original Greased Lightning you can then stream instantly “Grease 2” through Netflix!

If you don’t have access to either, never fear, HPG is here with a few musical selections pulled from YouTube.

Which is your favorite musical number? Leave a comment below and join in the conversation!

Olivia Newton John is still a heavenly beauty.
Check out these photos from a stylish private birthday concert in our Facebook Album.

2. SANDY the DOG!

“If you’re all alone in the night and you’re small and terribly frightened it’s Sandy, Sandy who’ll always be there.”

On these stormy evenings, curl up on the couch with your canine companion and fall in love once again with the overlooked hero of the little orphan Annie.

Sandy’s widdle wet nose and puppy dog eyes are enough to steal your heart and make you want to rub both hands into his belly!

Just be sure to keep your best friend indoors when the rain begins or you may have your own quote from the movie, “Why do I smell wet dog?”

Annie the Musical is back on Broadway! And the four legged star of this show is a rescued shelter dog named Sunny! But the giving doesn’t stop there! Pedigree Brand has teamed up with the Broadway show to raise $1,000,000 and help dogs find loving homes!

And WNET Channel 13 has provided a spectacular site for the kids (and the die hard Annie fans) to play online games, learn facts about the show and Annie the musical has a youtube site as well with videos and behind the scenes footage. How awesome is that?!

3. SANDY DUNCAN as Peter Pan!

In 2010 The Westchester Broadway Theatre in connection with the Lighthouse Youth Arts Center produced a version of Peter Pan which featured Team POP’s very own Christine Gavin as Tiger Lily and Jenny Kawa as Mrs. Darling.

The production’s Peter Pan was played by Christine DiTota who is currently directing “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!” for the Armonk Players at the Theatre of the Friends of the North Castle Public Library in Armonk, NY.

The show opens this weekend so if you are looking for an activity to take the place of the Sandy’d out days you are about to experience, this is a classic and hysterical musical that shouldn’t be missed!

Ok. So hopefully this list of AWESOME SANDY’s will make up for the Debbie Downer Storm of a Sandy blowing into town. These fun links and details are in no means to make light of the seriousness of the storm, but to keep you occupied and entertained to prevent that horrible sickness of the Stir Crazies.

And for one last storm connection we leave you with a little classic song from R.E.O Speedwagon…
